What is B Corp and Why does Businesses need to get involved?

This short slideshow will give you an overview of how taking action now can help your business.

Annie Lee

Annie was our B Leader here in Ireland and her calm and guiding hand took us through the whole process, I have no doubt I would have not finished our BIA if it wasn't for her.

"Finding the time and resources from within your own team can be difficult, holding your business back from starting your B Corpjourney. Impactful Insights takes away that overwhelming feeling and serves as a partner to get things done. With thorough data collection and detailed action plans for improvement, I’m confident I can efficiently get your business B Corp certified. It’s my goal to ensure this is a tailored experience for you - that fits within your team’s priorities." Annie Lee.

Although we didn't know eachother before we started working together, Annie soon became a trusted business advisor, one with roots in Connemara.

Laura Matz

The first person who really got me started on the B Corp journey is a Connemara/German girl. Laura is a sustainability consultant now living and working in the UK and is a wonder at what she does.  Her beautiful late Mother, Sonia was also the first friend I made when I first moved to Clifden nearly 30 years ago.

Roisin Keown

Roisin Keown, founder of The Brill Building, is known for her bold, creative work that champions sustainability and social impact. With a background that spans advertising, hospitality, and community-driven campaigns, she brings a fresh, imaginative perspective on how storytelling and design can build stronger, more sustainable food systems and connect people in meaningful ways.

Roisin and her work colleague Peter Snodden have worked with photographer Kevin Griffin, Sharon's husband and fellow director of OBG for many years.  The respect and dedication to what they do has always been their Kryptonite.

Alice Coyle

A passionate local food activist, a creative thinker, and the force behind Coyles, a beautifully curated food shop and café in Clifden.

With a background in design and a deep love of food, Alice has brought both worlds together under one roof. Coyles is more than just a shop, it’s a gathering space that celebrates the richness of local produce, great coffee, and good conversation. Alice believes in the power of local food to foster real connection between people, place, and plate and she’s on a mission to make that visible (and delicious) every day.

Alice worked along side us in Re-Wear the first year we opened hosting Neighbour food, Clifden.

Cathy O'Connor

Cathy O'Connor is one of Ireland's most respected fashion stylists and the rebel behind the Women Unbranded revolution. Renowned for her expertise and practical advice, Cathy hosts style workshops for both corporate and retail sectors and offers a personal shopping service. It was through her work as a personal shopper that she discovered something profound: countless women over 40 were sharing the same quiet struggle. They spoke of feeling like they were walking through the world somehow unseen, of sensing they'd been quietly written out of the story. These conversations revealed a truth that couldn't be ignored. It was time to change the narrative. Cathy launched Women Unbranded to give voice to women experiencing lack of representation in fashion and beauty brands.

Karen Pappin

Karen Pappin is a brand architect and storyteller who has spent over 25 years weaving stories through design, evolving from graphic designer to brand builder with her company Point Zero. But it's storytelling that truly drives everything she does. At 51, Karen is living proof that confidence, voice, and purpose can bloom at any stage of life. Having truly found her own in her forties, she's now dedicated to helping other women stop apologising for themselves and learn to take up space, properly and unapologetically. Through workshops and talks with Women Unbranded, she guides women through navigating change with grace. "We move forward in life through multiple tiny acts of courage," Karen believes, and she's joined Women Unbranded to encourage women to embrace exactly that.

Women Unbranded

Join the Women Unbranded Movement. It's time for change, and it starts with us. We're transforming how the world sees women over 40 by advocating for authentic representation in brands and media that reflects our lives, not outdated stereotypes. We celebrate the unique perspective that comes with experience, wisdom, and the confidence that grows with every decade. We're building an empowered grassroots community, rewriting the narrative around what it means to age as a woman in today's world.

We believe in a future where experience is valued as expertise, visibility increases with age rather than decreases, and our voices grow stronger, not quieter. We're not anti-ageing, we're pro-living fully. This isn't about turning back time; it's about moving forward with purpose and demanding the recognition we've earned. With decades of experience, financial independence, and absolutely nothing left to lose, we're the generation to demand change. Ready to be part of something bigger? Together, we're impossible to ignore.

If you want to join us sign up on our website www.womenunbranded.com and take the Change Maker Survey to tell us more about what you want to hear about.

If you’d like us to speak at your women’s group, event or to your organisation email karen@womenunbranded.com to start the conversation.

Supporting DEIS Schools through Legal Education
LawEd empowers young people by delivering engaging, age-appropriate legal education, with a particular focus on DEIS schools across Ireland. These schools serve communities that often face additional social and economic challenges, and many students are disproportionately exposed to online risks and misunderstandings about their rights and responsibilities.

For example:

  • 54% of children have seen pornography by age 13.

  • 68% of students do not understand their basic rights and responsibilities.

At LawEd, we believe the law should be accessible to all, not just to lawyers. We break down complex legal concepts into relatable, practical learning, helping young people understand how the law impacts their everyday lives and the real consequences of their actions. We deliver legal education through onsite workshops and eLearning courses.

Founded by Kate Fleming in 2010, LawEd has already worked with over 250 schools nationwide, reaching 200,000+ students. Our workshops and eLearning courses cover crucial topics such as Sharing images and consent, online safety, cyberbullying, sexual offences, driving laws, criminal records and much more.

We have flexible onsite workshop formats ranging from 1 - 4 hours. A highlight of our workshops is the mock trial, where students wear wigs and gowns and engage in a hands-on courtroom experience, applying their learning in a fun and memorable way. Our eLearning courses are designed to integrate seamlessly into school curriculums, providing flexible, self-paced content accessible on any device throughout the academic year. Teachers can also track engagement and progress through detailed reports.

Why partner with LawEd?
By partnering with LawEd, B Corps can directly sponsor legal literacy workshops in DEIS schools, creating measurable social impact that aligns seamlessly with both B Impact Assessment criteria and CSRD requirements. This partnership offers:

  • Tangible, trackable impact in local communities.

  • Turnkey delivery with comprehensive impact reporting.

  • Opportunities for brand visibility and storytelling around meaningful change.

Our mission is to ensure that every young person, regardless of background has the knowledge and confidence to navigate their world safely and responsibly.
