The story of Ohh! By Gum began in 2009 with a small shop in the beautiful town of Clifden, County Galway, on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.
Ohh! By Gum was a new kind of ethical clothing and lifestyle store, offering a curated range of products that were kind and conscious towards the planet and its people.
The Irish Times soon named it Ireland’s best boutique.

Ethos
That same ethos guides everything we do, both in our Clifden shop and online. From responsible fashion and accessories to planet-friendly skincare and homeware, we aim to source from makers and suppliers who share our vision that fashion shouldn’t just be about looking good.
It should be good for the people who make it and good for the planet too.
Milestone
In May 2025, we became a certified B Corporation, joining a global community of businesses committed to high standards of social and environmental impact. It’s a big milestone for a small shop in the west of Ireland, and an important step in our journey to do things better.

Materials
Browse our store and you’ll find products made from raw materials that are either recycled or sourced through environmentally-friendly agriculture and organic farming. A growing number of our brands use natural and biodegradable dyes, and we have plenty of vegan options too.
Fair practices
Just as important, the skilled workers who make our products are paid a fair wage. Everything is packed and shipped using recyclable materials.
