I ordered a coat on 13/12/24, paid in full along with £13 shipping charge. No coat was received so I contacted ohh by gum to advise. Was advised they would look into this. Today I received a card from Royal Mail stating package was at their depot, and to collect I would need to pay a £46 vat charged to order. This was not stated clearly anywhere during the ordering process online. I have paid the fee and collected the coat from Royal Mail. I feel this I a diabolical Liberty on behalf of ohh by gum, and will be making this point again.

Your order left Ireland on the 16/12/24 and on the 6/1/25 you contacted us to let us know you hadn't received it. We replied the same day to say that we would submit a query with our postal system here in Ireland and in the UK. The following day, 7/1/25 you received notification from the UK Royal Mail to say you owe customs and duty as the order is coming from outside the UK and is subject to the UK customs. We do have it written on our website that orders outside the EU may be liable to customs and duty and we are sorry that you did not see this. We explained that you can refuse to pay the customs and duty and Royal Mail will return the item to us but you declined. We use our customers feedback to help us going forward so we thank you again for bringing this to our attention and apologise for any inconvience this has caused.
